        In my experience the speaker is *far* more variable than the amp. I=
 spent weeks shopping for speakers and was amazed at the different tonal qu=
alities from make to make. When switching amps instead of speakers, I was h=
ardly ever able to tell the difference (when levels were matched, of course=
).

        But, as Jan says, "So if detailed sound is important to you I think=
 you should listen carefully before you buy." Absolutely.
