From my experience (35 years doing pro sound) you have it exactly
backwards. The transducers (mics and speakers) make huge differences
in the sound. Electronic components like preamps and power amps,
assuming they aren't overloaded, are -much- less important to sound
quality. Exotic cables are a fraud.
