Peter,

Theoretically yes, practically no. If you want an exclusive pair of
channels, you have to licence and pay for these and high quality equipment=

is expensive. On public frequencies, the bandwidth is low and you are likel=

to get interference from other users.

In the UK they are hot on enforcement due to the crowded spectrum and you
are likely to get all your unlicenced gear confiscated, including your car=

if it is mounted in it. The snag is by transmitting, you advertise your
presence. I once knew someone whose job it was to track down unlicenced
equipment at public events and confiscate it. I didn't let on about my own=

radio links. :-)
