I'm not able to answer that from a scientific perspective (maybe
David or Raimund) but that is the type of gear used by top notch
professionals, and so whatever implications regarding the
conversions shouldn't affect negatively the expected results.
(I see that the following questions are being discussed in a new

I was thinking of leaving the recorder with the mics, and just
transmitting the monitoring output. Signal quality wouldn't be so
important that way.
