Apart from the cost, If that converts the mic signal to digital and then th=
e receiver converts it back to analog, I wonder how the recording will be a=
ffected. I was thinking of leaving the recorder with the mics, and just tra=
nsmitting the monitoring output. Signal quality wouldn't be so important th=

A way to control the recorder remotely would be good too. Some of the consu=
mer AV extenders, intended to let you move your tv to another room without =
rewiring the pay tv box, include IR remote control extenders too. Don't kno=
w about power requirements, don't know about licence requirements either. P=
erhaps the latter is only a problem over a certain power.=0D
