They are noisier and have more pronounced bass than mkh-20's. The AT-3032's are similar to my MBHO's. The high end noise of the 30302's seems a bit grainier and there's a little less clarity under 300Hz with the 3032's. The MBHO's with the MBP-603A's preamp modules are a very easy to mount-- even for micing while walking. For omni's in moisture the mkh-20's or mkh-800 are widely accepted top performers. For omni's in low or no moisture, MK2's would get my nod over mkh-20's for ambience. Ultimate: 2 mkh-800's (multi-pattern). For omni's on a budget: AT3032's http://www.trackseventeen.com Rob D. -- Rob Danielson Peck School of the Arts University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee http://www.uwm.edu/~type/audio-art-tech-gallery/ |
