Hi Jez,

Yes I have noticed lots of people that I have met face to face and online h=
ave been helpful. Not sure what to do about my mic buying fixation though..=
So many to add to the bag...!

Yes I am a little cautious about these, the ones I got for the Rode mics ca=
me from someone that had supplied the lavalier fluffies for my binaural mic=
s wt
Hitch were fine.

I did think about mounting these in my blimp midside but now a fluffy is ho=
w I have them. Cage is quite small on these.

I agree about the self noise, not really an issue and seems that way so far=
. I have heard examples from the DPA mics and my cheap eBay Lavs are much m=
uch quieter!

Thanks for the mic recommendations too, very useful, I plan to do the buyin=
fpg on a priority/ season basis,
I think I want a set of hydrophones next then a Telinga dish and maybe an S=
sm love the way it sounds!

While this Manfrotto is light I bought it for the heit range it also has a =
nice wide footprint with the feet. So far ver stable. I can recommend thes=
e now I have one. I got the idea from a New Zealand based sound recordist =
Tim Prebble. He mounts long shotguns on his out in the field so I think it =
will be ok or rather hope it will!

Many thanks and regards.

Simon.

the DPA4060's).

best: DPA4060's or Sanken COS.

crophone wants are having to wait. But I recently did a music gig in a scho=

M3s and finally a support for this job I went for a photographic light sta=
