Whilst Rode mics are very good, the NT3 is aimed more at vocal work. The go=
ld dot on the body is really irrelevant as it's an end address cardioid mic=
, so it doesn't matter from which side you aim it. It's the end that gets a=
imed. The equivalent noise of around 17dBA also makes it a tad noisy for na=
ture work
