I hardly ever use stands myself - just saying that for those who do like to=
 use them then lighting stands can be better value. There are situations wh=
ere a stand is helpful of course (in a swampy setting for example) & I know=
 some folks get really technical about vibration to the mic mount etc, but =
for myself I like to work with what's in the location & experiment with all=
 kinds of places for putting the mics.
