I did a very quick comparison at last summer's NSS workshop for an attendee who had been told in the Cornell course that the FR-2LE was inadequate for nature recording and needed an external preamp. I found the maximum FR-2LE gain adequate, with no obvious quality difference from my MP-2. But that was very quick and casual and I'd appreciate a more careful study. -Dan Dugan |
