No, but our member Marco Pesente had a look at the Edirol gain and found it=

to be nearly 10 db lower than Sony D8. Still sufficient, though, as I see
it. When it is so quiet around that you need higher gain, then you get too=

much of mic noise anyway unless you have a really low noise mic, like MKH.=

Such a mic has enough enough output.

Edirol has a "1-5" selection of microphone settings" simulating famous (??)=

microphones. (they say, or mean...)
I would like to know exactly what these effects do. When just listening to=

normal room ambience and speaking into the mic, I don't hear much
difference between them. But I have just sniffed a bit at the Edirol. Test=

will continue, but don't wait for a full technical report. I am mainly
going to use my ears only and how it works in practice, in the bush.
