Hi all

I too use Personal Back-up (in OS9) for keeping internal G4 system disc
backed up and 2 firewire drives (with audio and graphics files) backed-up t=
o
2 identical drives. I also use it for synchronising documents between my OS=
9
G4 and an OSX powerbook. I've been using it for 1.5 years and I've had no
problems so far. In fact I think it's a neat bit of software. It warns you
if there's anything untoward, like you've updated the same file on both
computers and gives you a choice of what to do.

I'm about to try Carbon Copy Cloner on the powerbook's system partition. Th=
e
10Gb partition I originally set up feels too small now. So the plan is to
clone the partition to a firewire drive, repartition the disc with 20Gb for
the system, then clone back to the empty partition. Fingers crossed.

One of my problems with the OSX system partition is with iPhoto. Is anyone
using this? I quite like it for a photo album. But I can't find any way of
getting it to store the files anywhere but the system disc/partition. In
iTunes you can set it up to import/store your audio anywhere you want.
Anyone got any tips for iPhoto?

Oh, the photo's include singing birds, calling amphibians, stridulating
orthoptera ... so not entirely OT!

Walt, have you upgraded to Filemaker Pro 7? If so, was it worth it? From
what I've heard, it simplifies setting up complex relationships -
particularly, carrying a relationship through several tables, which I'd fin=
d
useful.

Regards, Geoff.
