When I first started using OSX it was the very first thing wrong I
noticed. With OS 9, and every other mac OS before you could do a simple
finder copy of the disk and boot from it. Not OSX, they are stupid
enough to think that computers, and their software never fail.

Anyway, I've been using Personal Backup ever since. It was the first
piece of software I bought for OSX. I've had no problems with it, but I
don't use a lot of it's features.

Only thing you have to watch out for is booting from the clone disk and
then without thinking starting to do work. Then you get it out of step
with your main system. It will get out of step fast enough.

Rich:

That sounds awful. I'd not even agree to use such a program unless they
provided a separate computer to use it on. And preferably a tech who
they pay for full time to maintain that computer. I prefer to punish
folks who think up things like that.
