Did you do a clone, or a backup? They are different things. I'd expect
that a clone would get the comments as it simply finds and exactly
copies all files on the disk. Finder comments are in files. Though in
OSX I don't know for sure where.
I don't use finder comments, so I'll have to test. I'll run a full clone
tonight and put some comments in some files to test.
