I could not resist, I went and checked the membership list. Yahoo says
both of us joined on the same day, 8/8/2000. All I could remember was
Doug sent a invite, and I turned right around and joined within minutes
of seeing it. What joy it was to suddenly have other nature recordists
to talk to. I was definitely isolated from other nature recordists. And
talking to Bioacoustics-L was definitely a downer most of the time.
Doug himself is listed for 8/8/2000, so that must have been founding
day. Or at least when Yahoo got it. So, you are right, no one has been a
member longer. There are others on that early date too. I did not look
for all of them.
