Success! I think! The winning combo: Blue & White G3 OS 9.2.2 Peak LE 2.10 Toast 5.2.3 (newer version than I was using) "Disc at Once" mode Que Fire 4x 4x 24x burner, same model as with my initial attempts, but a different unit (hmmmm. I guess that there's the problem.) no micro fades Zero crossing did not seem to matter (but I may be deaf). the problem was pauses, rather than clicks. for my next task, I will now tile my bathroom in used CDs, shiny side up!
