Hi Graham, i have been reading the last post and i have the following
question.
I see you are using MD for recording bat sounds. Is there any problem with
the compression? Are you losing some frequencies with the compression?.

I was aware of these detectors, but not this particular model, I am
downloading some information now. However, I already have 15 detectors, and
this has to the basis for whatever system I use. At least in the short term=
.

Problem with this, is that I currently have 10 to 15 sampling stations and
plan on increasing this to 20-25, that is a lot of portable computers :-),
but as a one off for something special, I would consider this.
I have however, had a look at the new Hi-MD minidisk, and at it seems that
at the higher levels of compression - which would be good enough for a lot
of the time - I can get my 12 hrs of recording time that I want and be able
to upload to a PC.
Thanks for your help,
Graham
