They built a degraded recorder without an option for shorter 
recordings without md.  They did this by their design.  That is 
substandard in that it is below their own construction standard.
If it is a pro recorder than they were not confined to just an md 
standard unless they were in bed with sony.

and yes, they did build a computer.
