I love seeing trip reports on this list - it's one of the main things
I look for. Reading about someone seeing a Lesser Spotted
Dingle-Dangle in a forest reserve 3,000 km away doesn't do me a lot of
good ;-) Trip reports are great as they help give an idea about an
area and can be a help when planning a trip.
My favorite repository/index for trip reports is
http://www.travellingbirder.com/
What's smart about these guys is that they not only host reports, the
index reports from all over the Web that are hosted elsewhere. With
travellingbirder.com you can:
* Post trip reports.
* Search very easily be country and even month(s) within country.
(They even have a handy and unobtrusive little chart to the side
showing how many reports are from each month - which gives you a quick
and easy way of guessing when birders tend to favor a spot.)
* Sign up to get notifications when trip reports from areas you're
interested in are added.
It may not be Australia-focused enough for everyone but, at the least,
it shows a way of organizing trip reports effectively.
