A lot of votes for staying as we are, but it might be worth pointing out a 
newly arisen advantage of using email.

More and more people are getting access to email on their phones, and despite 
the tiny screens, it works reasonably well. These phones can also browse the 
web, but the screen size makes it tricky. Every web form that needs to be 
filled in, like those found on web forums, is a new challenge.  It would be a 
pity to make it hard to provide on site updates so soon after they've become 
possible.
