Anything that TS sells is a great tool, depending on your specific 
hardware needs.  They take some Linux knowledge, but so does anything 
else.  They have their flaws, but at least we're not talking QNX or 
VxWorks where those problems make get solved,but without the $5,000/year 
maintenance contract you're not going to get the fix, _ever_.  At least 
with GNU tools and GPL licensed software problems are fixed for free by 
the community generally, and with a little knowhow and some experience 
you can implement those changes.
