The talk of tree-ears reminded me - my ultra lightweight rig is a set of stereo clip-ons mics from Klas at Telinga (they are doubles of EM172), which I have clipped on to a lightweight headphone frame (minus the headphones), and wear on my head. Or you can tie it to a tree, a backpack, rock, fencepost whatever.
