>My concern is the wear and tear on my Sony MZ-200 microphone jack. Because of the weight of the 5 foot cable... The idea is to leave the 3.5 stereo jack to socket adaptor permanently attached to your recorder input and do all the plugging in & out to that thus relieving the MD input jack of the stress involved.
