The 722 has to different M/S decoders, one for recording, one for the headphones. To set M/S for recording go to the menu, entry 26, where you can set "linked" for recording each channel separately, or "linked, M/S" for decoding prior to recording. Headphone M/S decode is set using the scroll knob on the right side of the unit, turn 'till you see one of the "MS x,x" settings. The manual says not to use both at the same time or you will hear the raw channels again (encoding and decoding M/S is exactly the same thing, so if you decode the recording, then decode the headphones, you are back to what you started with. Someone else will need to help you with the computer program. Bruce Wilson KF7K http://science.uvsc.edu/wilson |
