If it didn't lose the data under power loss, that's high marks.

The built-in mic is a nice touch. Who hasn't wished they could get a
recorder out of the case and into record immediately? I'd think the
R-1's 24 bits would be the easier headroom solution for your needs
the the 660's 16 bits. You may be the one to write the R-1
independent test report. Rob D.
