It works better for me in that I can now boot the machine without
e2fsck complaining just about everything in the SD card.  Minor issues
remain, the check now at most performs a minor cleanup on superblocks
due to (I think) problems unmounting the partitions on the card. 
Previously I had the machine perform checks on the partitions at every
boot much longer due to orphaned inodes and references being fixed and
other weird things.

That said, I haven't tested it enough yet, so I don't know whether it
will continue temporarily freezing the machine.

I found this driver in one of those distribution tarballs for CFs
browsing around in TS's FTP, the file is called
debian-sarge-1.XX.tar.bz2.  Unfortunately I don't have a link at hand
right now.
