Thanks Yan,

you created a great resource here, respect.

It certainly seems like a few ppl here have been given a board as 
project with little prior knowlege of linux and, like you say , been 
thrown in at the deep end.

That's why I took pains to explain the level of help they appeared to 
need may be more readily available elsewhere. I honestly think that's 
the most useful advice to give. Other have given similar help.

Thanks for your wise and calming words. It's very easy for ppl to 
take things the wrong way on mailling lists and get annoyed 
unnecessarily.

At least this thread has created a bit of noise for you. ;)
