Learning how to use linux is mostly about learning how to find answers to your questions quickly. There are a great many resources around the net. It takes time to learn the best ones to go to first.

If you go to the linux documentation project
www.tldp.org
click on the howto links and look at chapter 3 of the kernel analysis howto, section 2 answers your question.
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/KernelAnalysis-HOWTO-3.html#ss3.2
Another explanation can be found at
http://www.tldp.org/LDP/Linux-Dictionary/html/u.html
under user-level (user mode).

I am sure there are many more explanations available, you just need to learn how to find them.

Try going to www.google.com/linux and entering the term kernel space. The first thing that comes up is a concise definition.

Sometimes it is better for people to explain how to find the answer than it is to state the answer.

It's really anoying that EmbeddedArm distributions doesn't work!

I supposed that having your SBC working only required reading the
instructions provided by Embedded Arm. But no! I needed to make
several changes to those distribuitions only to have the system
working with errors!

I have installed Linux in two machines with absolutely no issues, so
If I try to install linux in an TS-SBC and I have issues, I suppose
this is the right group: ts-7000.

Following your suggestion, before asking, I did this:

google: linux kernel space vs user space.

Only sparse answers. But If there's somebody who knows that, I don't
see any reason not to share this knowledge.

Put it simple. If it's too noob for you, just don't answer it.
