kudos as well. Seeing this design and the followup traffic on this list has utterly convinced me that my next board should be publicly released under a suitable opensource/creativecommons/GPL license.

The initial feedback and review would save thousands on the initial spin. "With enough eyeballs all bugs are shallow".

I do like the idea of GPLed hardware if something like the GPL could be made to apply.

It's looking like this board could easily encode and decode theora video as well, without raising a sweat.
