Hi Bernie and friends of Nature Recordist
I have a Schoeps miniCMIT hypercardioid that I would like to use with my
Schoeps MK8(Fig 8) for M/S. Has anyone experimented with this combo of mic
patterns for M/S and getting good results? I'm just wondering if my
hypercardioid/fig 8 will be acceptable for field recording. I have tried
using a cardioid/fig 8 and currently it's my standard M/S but I'm curious
if there is a reason why some people suggest a hypercardioid over a
cardioid.
***My SD 744T is at the Sound Devices HQ getting a checkup. So I can't
experiment myself at this time***
Thanks,
Kevin Durr
