By a happy coincidence last night I attended a small performance by a wonde= rful French pianist (Samuel Bore') who performed some of John Cages work, a= long with pieces of one of his major influences, Erik Satie. The performance was followed by a mushroom flavored reception; we celebrate= d his birthday with a small cake and the BD song. Until then I had heard very little of his work. B. Hebert |
