Using an XLR plug, build a simple tester with 150 Ohm between pins 2&3, 1 u=
nconnected - plug that in and wiggle it around in all of the R44's sockets.=
 If you notice any noise then I would suspect the sockets are worn or have =
contact issues. Is the R44 brand new? if not then is its history known? If =
its new then I would suggest sending it back and trying the replacement wit=
h the DPA's. If the outcome is the same your out of luck and the magic betw=
een DPA and Roland isn't going to happen.
