Hi Andy--

I replied to your earlier question but it appears to have not gotten throug=
h.

I would go ahead and get the Art Phantom II to be stereo-ready.

To run one mic, connect a single NT1-A to the=C2=A0channel 1 input of the A=
rt Phantom II and=C2=A0make-up a cable like=C2=A0below that=C2=A0connects b=
eween the=C2=A0Channel 1=C2=A0output of the Art Phantom II=C2=A0and the 3.5=
mm input of your recorder:

On the XLR end, "tie" pin #1 and pin #3=C2=A0by soldering a short=C2=A0jump=
er cable between them. Connect #1 to the shield (woven, outside=C2=A0wires)=
 of a ~18" length of=C2=A0mic cable.=C2=A0=C2=A0Connect Pin #2 to one of th=
e interior leads=C2=A0of the 18" mic cable-- be sure to note the color.

On the 3.5 mm end of this cable, connect the shield to the sleeve . Connect=
the interior lead from #2 to both the Tip and Ring of the 3.5mm stereo mal=
e plug for the mic input. This will deliver the signal from the=C2=A0NT1-A =
to both channels. Rob D.
