<<record in 24/48 so you can have more headroom.>> Just for the record, increased headroom is a result of recording at 24 bits rather than 16 bits, while the sample rate is irrelevant to headroom concerns. 44.1k is the standard for anything which will end up on CD, while 48k should only be used for projects intended for eventual inclusion in video or film projects.
