Paul,
The M10 can't supply phantom power to your mics, so you'll
need a battery box between mics and recorder. It would be
more convenient to have a recorder that the mics can plug
directly into (the Marantz PMD661 or Fostex FR-2LE, for
example). But the external battery box won't affect the
recording.
Were you to post this question before the purchase, you
may have received recommendations of mic and recorder
with lower levels of self noise. But these would also be
more expensive.
