You, sir, are right. I stand duly corrected!

I did read between the lines in Aaron S's [first] post...

...and I did so far neglect to recount the two (different) times I've
been present when small mixpad-class mixers failed or exhibited
recurring problems during sound check or performance -- not my gear,
so I can't attest to whether it was abused.  Me, I have had two of
their rack mount processors go south, but those were mid-90s vintage
and not mixers, and I picked them up used, so don't think that's
relevant.

As we now also have first hand accounts of no problems, I'm happy to
let you be the next penguin into the water... :)
