In my experience Behringer products are quite good and reliable; some
excellent, some medium quality, in any case with good price/quality ratio.
The devices I like most are the DSP units and the ultravoice 2496 mic
preamplifiers we use connected to our towed arrays of hydrophones on
oceanographic ships and sailing boats. No failures in 5 years of use.
On the contrary, I had failures and bad performances in top-quality
brand products. No rules here.
I think each brand has good and bad products; in many cases the
compromises made to balance different features may satisfy some
users, but not others. And often specs don't tell the whole truth.
Each time I need to buy something it's a challenge: whenever possible
I ask to test a product before to buy.
