This is just my opinion on=A0my experiences with Behringer equipment.
=A0
I have worked with a number of Behringer mixers and have been slightly disa=
ppointed in their performance.
=A0
I thought their quad compressor/limiter did a pretty good job but my first =
encounter was an out of box failure. The second unit has done fine.
=A0
The Quad Direct Box is a bit noisy and had one channel go bad out of two un=
its..
=A0
The rack mount headphone amp is a little brittle sounding but works fine an=
d will blow your head off.
=A0
The Ultrafex Pro is a real disappointment in what it can do.
=A0
I have spare equipment so it isn't that crucial, it's cheap enough to have =
multiples for back-up. If this is all you can afford, baby it and remember =
that you get what you pay for.
=A0
As far as equipment that can offer the subtleties that is needed for nature=
recording, I don't think you will be happy with it. Location recording of =
dialog for amateur video productions, Behringer would probably work fine.
=A0
I don't blame anyone for trying to find a substitute for what the professio=
nals use. It can become an expensive hobby real quick. You never know when =
you might find a real good performer out there, so keep looking.
