The Fall Audio Engineering Society meeting is in San Francisco on Oct 3-5. It's a great chance to get a hands-on impression of lots of audio gear, and to voice your concerns to the manufacturers' representatives. There is usually an engineer or two among the staff at each exhibit. For example, you could complain to the Audio Technica staff about their recent decision to discontinue the AT3031 and AT3032 mics, which offered such good value. And you could stop by and say hello to frequent contributor Dan Dugan. He will be in booth 1128. Here's the web site describing the meeting http://www.aes.org/events/125/ Swetwater is offering free passes to the exhibits area. Sign up here http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/aes_pass/ --oryoki |
