This sounds like your recorder stopped while updating the file
catalog. This can result in apparent loss of most (if not all) of your
files.

The good news is that (due to the way flash file system work) there is
a good chance that the previous version of the directory is still
intact on another sector of the flash. It is also likely that your
most recently recorded file is complete on the flash.

The bad news is that it can be a bit tricky to locate those data and
restore the file system. There may be tools to help with that, but
that's outside my range of experience.
