No, in fact the majority of the files that were recovered seemed to be
from the trash and false take folders, and a few are unreadable. So, I
really didn't get anything back. Rather sad to have lost last night's
close range encounter with a Barred Owl.

I had stopped recording and shut the 702 down manually before the
battery gave out. I really can't say if the problem occurred then or
when it was powered back up with the AC adapter. I may make it a habit
of removing the card before recharging, just to be safe.

Another odd thing tonight-with the battery full and everything
seemingly fine, I got the low battery warning beep once in the phones
and that was it. Recorded for an hour or so more and did not hear it
again.

Bernie, I did have what you describe happen once-fully charged large
battery, usually good for 4-5 hours, ran out in twenty minutes.
Subsequent charges have held fine.

Well, I'm going to back up tonight's files and then try the Sandisk
recovery software, and if that fails just reformat the card and carry on.
