I believe 2.0 added ASIO driver compatibility too. We only have two
installs of Audition 2.0 compared to 9 for Logic, but we haven't run
into debilitating bugs yet. The Eqium plug works okay, but with less
CPU efficiency than Logic. Audition is not as flexible as Logic or
ProTools but its not as daunting to learn and it costs about 1/3 as
much. Audition shines in editing video with 5.1 sound. You can move
the files in a 5.1 mix from Premiere into Audition and back with
ease. We have a license that gives us free updates for three years,
but maybe this deal is only for schools. Rob D.
