V2's are hard to find. I just sold mine for about $750, and I
literally had four offers in 20 minutes, on tapersforum.com, a good
place to look for used gear.
It is without a doubt the nicest preamp I've ever heard. So detailed,
spacious, lush. An amazing unit. Yeah, a drag that it needs 6v or 12v
external power, but if you can deal with that, an awesome addition to
a 744.
