Adobe Audition has a "filter" for reversing the process "Mid-Side to L-R".

It's supposed to be totally possible to 'undo' the MS matrix later,=20
literally be reversing the steps. I know I have a plugin in ProTools=20
that can do it. By hand, it would be a bit trickier, involves=20
duplicating tracks, flipping the phase on one, etc. But it should be=20
do-able if you really needed to.

But I've been mainly recording discrete tracks, and since I master=20
all the things I record, do the MS'ing at that point.
