I'm a big fan of Grace in terms of very clean, pure gain.  I have the
lunatec v2.  It's a purist thing.

But I think the sound devices stuff is much better in the field;
easier to power, lots of clean gain, integral headphone amp, MS
matrix, limiter if you need it, good meters as Bernie said etc.  And
it's cheaper.
