I do, I think they are very vocal in the winter and I have only recordings
made of the bird around noisy streams!!! This is a great chance for me to
record a dipper away from water noises so what is the betting the bugger
keeps his beak shut!!?

Was it a dipper you were looking for with one of your recordings early in
the year Rich? That swamp safari?

I am targeting a MN dipper this winter.

I think I found him and need to record him or get good pics.
Since I am not good in the pics department I hope he is vocal in the
frozen winters here.

If I get the proof of my bird I think it will be the first confirmed
year round MN dipper population.

Do you agree with my assumption that they are vocal on stream in the
winter? Or am I once again going against the current?
