I am sitting at about 256 megs ram at a 100 bus right now so that
should not be an issue in the sound world.
I am motivated to change to XP to be compatible with my new web space
and off site archive. I understand the networking within xp to be a
lot better then FTP:.

I know I need a new computer every two years in the sound area but
this year it is important for me to push it to 4 years by upgrading
the hard drive.

Thanks for the info so far. I hope I find someone who made a direct
switch within the same hardware to comment. I am off following Mark
Twain for two days. Will be back shortly.
