But isn't it typical that pres made with varying designs and
component quality differ in noise levels-- especially at the higher
gain settings? Are you suggesting that all but the cheapest pres are
fairly equal in terms of noise with the largest differences coming in
coloration? Wouldn't be the first time you set me on my ear.
