Before the Christmas break letters were sent under
the signature of the COG President to the ACT Flora and Fauna Committee, the
Natural Resource Management Council, Simon Corbell (Minister of Environment and
cc'd to the Chief Minister), Andrew Barr (Minister of Education) and to
Shane Rattenbury (MLA) over the issue of tree clearing and Superb Parrot habitat
in Crace and Harrison in particular and Gungahlin and elsewhere in
general.
To date no replies have been received. I
would urge as many people as possible who are concerned with this issue to raise
it with the various ACT and Federal Government
representatives.
