I combined a lunchtime run
around the lake with birdwatching at the National Gallery. I had great and
prolonged views of the Yellow-tufted Honeyeater feeding on lerps above the path
that leads from the back of the gallery down to the lake. Interesting
to read Steve’s comments, as while all other honeyeaters were there, the
White-naped was the far the most abundant and vocal species.
Thanks to Marnix to alerting
us to this beautiful bird.
Cheers
Alastair

[UNCLASSIFIED] Yellow-tufted HE at National Gallery
All
honeyeaters except White-naped still present lunch time today, also 2 Little
Corellas flying over. The Yellow-tufted put in a brief appearance, it seems to
have cheered up a bit since Benj saw it yesterday
cheers
